We had one free night before heading towards Florence and at Morgan's suggestion we stopped in Siena. It was a wonderful introduction to our stay in Tuscany. The walled city looks like a set for a medieval movie. At every corner you expect people to be dressed as a ladies in waiting or knights in shining armor. Even the trendy shops are tucked away in arches and stone doorways. The Duomo is spectacular, a huge cathedral made of black and white stripes.
After all of this sight seeing we are ready to spend a few afternoons in the countryside looking out over the vineyards and enjoying the fruit of their labor.
