You know those moments when you realize how amazing your life is. For example, when you watch the sun dip below the Pacific Ocean from a rooftop deck in the middle of January in a light sweater. I had one of these moments, actually that exact moment, yesterday evening. An afternoon bike ride turned into drinks at the Erwin Hotel right of the Venice Boardwalk. It was my first time there and I instantly felt right at home snuggled up on a couch, under a blanket watching the "flame tubes" with a glass of prosecco. My house usually has about the same amount of service- none.
